"Forgotten Bayou" at the Manship
Manship Theatre 100 Lafayette Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802
[WAITING FOR REPLY FROM MANSHIP] Louisiana's tales of resiliency are often focused on how its people respond to large-scale disasters, mostly hurtling in from the coast. But the documentary Forgotten Bayou tells of one little community on Bayou Corne and how it handled a 35-acre sinkhole spreading across homeowners' backyards. Directed by LSU graduate Victoria Greene; produced by Baton Rouge natives John Darling Haynes and Paul E. LeDoux; score by Mike Esneault. 7:30 pm; doors at 7 pm and the bar opens at 6:30 pm. A filmmaker Q&A follows the screening. [WAITING FOR REPLY FROM MANSHIP]
