French Quarter Festival Festivities at THNOC

If you're out and about for French Quarter Festival, swing by The Historic New Orleans Collection's Exhibition Center for an array of fun and free music-themed activities, from testing your knowledge of local musicians from HNOC's festival photography archives, to viewing their current Unknown Sitters exhibition, or hearing a demonstration on their recently-restored rare Aeolian organ. Kids will have the chance to make their own paper tambourines or try their hand at chess activities for beginners, too. And, sweetening the deal will be Angelo Brocato's popping up with their beloved desserts in the courtyard. 11 am–2 pm. Free. hnoc.org.
