As part of the New Orleans Museum of Art's Friday night programming, author Nathaniel Rich will present a discussion on his groundbreaking book, Losing Earth: A Recent History. Originally published in an entire issue of The New York Times Magazine, Rich's journalistic work has now been expanded to book form. The work tells the story of how a handful of scientists, politicians, strategists, and two unlikely heroes worked in a desperate, escalating campaign to bring the dire fate of our planet to the world's attention, before it is too late. A true story, it all occurred during the 1980s.
Come as early as 5 pm for Art on the Spot drop in activities; lecture begins at 6:30 pm. A book signing in the Museum Shop will follow. Regular admission applies—NOMA members receive free entry. noma.org.
