Stories of the Coca-J, a former shrimp trawler and now a focal point inside the Capitol Park Museum, kick off this shrimp-centric event at the museum, which includes a shrimp-peeling competition, cooking demonstrations, shrimp dishes from Louisiana chef, and Louisiana beers to wash it all down. 7 pm. $20 tickets are available on Eventbrite and at the door. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum. Presented by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board and Friends of the Capitol Park Museum.
