The Ascension Parish Master Gardeners Association under the direction of the LSU AgCenter is holding its spring library series of educational workshops with gardening and landscaping tips geared to both novice and advanced gardeners:
March 13: Cacti and Succulents in the Garden or Home: Choosing to bring cacti and succulents into your garden or home can be a rewarding decision. Glenn Beall, Member of the Baton Rouge Cactus and Succulent Society, past horticulture teacher for the Louisiana technical college system, and cactus/succulent hobbyist, will showcase his collection of many varieties of these plants along with sharing the best methods of growing thriving cacti and succulents. March 26: Azaleas in the Landscape, Making the Right Choices: Azaleas in full bloom bring a beautiful addition of color to any landscape. Dr. Allen Owings, Horticulture Professor Emeritus LSU AgCenter and Coordinator of Horticulture Education Outreach and Social Media for Bracy's Nursery and Clegg's Nursery, will help you choose and care for these belles of the Southern garden.
