At the West Baton Rouge Museum, Dr. Rachel Emmanuel is hosting a four-week program on African-American history since the Civil War, "Generations of Struggle." Funded by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, the series is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your own history, or that of your neighbors, and to better understand the magnitude of the challenges African-Americans faced in their efforts to be recognized in their efforts to thrive after emancipation. 12:30 pm–1:30 pm on October 11, 17, 24, and 31.
