Girls on the Run 5K

Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge, a non-profit organization, serves more than 1,200 girls annually at public and private schools throughout Greater Baton Rouge and the surrounding area. Through ten-week after school sessions, third through eighth grade girls engage in lessons, running games, and activities that help them create healthy habits, make positive choices, stand up for themselves and serve as leaders in the community.

The program culminates in a non-competitive 5K event, held on the grounds of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. The Girls on the Run 5K is open to men, women, boys and girls of all ages who will run alongside local girls celebrating the end of their Girls on the Run session.
