For its second edition of its spring library series, the Ascension Parish Master Gardeners Association, under the direction of the LSU Agcenter, presents a workshop on the different types of soil mixes. Ed Bus, LSU Professor of Plant Environmental & Soil Sciences, will discuss the best soils for different applications including containers, hanging baskets, raised beds, and garden beds. 6:30 pm at the Galvez Branch Library.
