Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. With a score that blends the aforementioned hip-hop with jazz, Brit-pop, blues, showtunes, and lyrics that spill from the mouths of evident history buffs, Hamilton has become one of the more popular history lessons in recent memory.
