Hayes Carll at the Manship
Irrepressibly literate, impossibly romantic, unrepentingly slackerly … in person
Manship Theatre 100 Lafayette Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802
The Red Dragon Listening Room is behind this one, welcoming irrepressibly literate, impossibly romantic, unrepentingly slackerly, Texas singer/songwriter Hayes Carll to the Manship Theatre stage. Carll, who got his first guitar at fifteen and instantly began writing songs, was an Artist of the Year nominee at the 2011 Americana Music Awards. His song "Another Like You" was named #1 on American Songwriter's Top 50 songs of 2011 list. His album KMAG YOYO was the Americana Music Association’s #1 Album, as well as making Best of Lists for Rolling Stone, SPIN, and a New York Times Critics Choice. Along the way Carll connects with music lovers across genres lines. His latest effort, Lovers and Leavers, swept the Austin Music Awards. Baton Rouge singer-songwriter David Borné will open. 7:30 pm. $39.95–$59.95. (225) 344-0334 or manshiptheatre.org.
