Herb Society Plant Sale

The New Orleans unit of the Herb Society of America will be turning the special wildlife habitat project at the corner of Loyola and General Pershing a brighter shade of green when it hosts its plant sale there this Saturday. Herbs, butterfly plants, annuals, and perennials will be offered for sale at this annual fundraiser benefiting New Orleans Botanical Gardens, Longue Vue Gardens, and the Herb Society of America, New Orleans Unit’s educational programs. On hand will be members of the local Herb Society to help gardeners select plants for culinary and ornamental uses. There will also be presentations and discussions on various planting techniques and uses. The sale is held at a private residence allowing attendees to see plants in their growing state. The garden features a native garden, irises, and a collection of salvia. 9 am–3 pm at 2202 General Pershing. (504) 899-3391.
