Your weekly happy hour just got happier, with an added dose of storytelling and local lore. For its regular Historical Happy Hour events, the West Baton Rouge Museum hosts a local musicians and storytellers, featuring intellectual discussions, music, panels, speakers, and—of course—drinks, though those are up to you. So pack up your favorite libations, and open your mind to the history of our community.
This month features Ed Willis and Blues 4 $ale, a band formed in 2002 by New Orleans bluesman, Willis. Having toured across the world, you can often find Blues 4 $ale at local festivals and venues like Bamboulas, Crescent City Blues & BBQ, Voice of the Wetlands, and more.
Guests will also be the first to see the museum's new exhibit Evolution of the Revolution—a multi-media installation displaying enormous photos from significant moments in Black history by photographers and set designers Lynn Rosi and Nichelle Evans. 6 pm–8 pm. Free. westbatonrougemuseum.com.
