Holiday Hat Fling at the Cottage

Just in time for holiday-hat-wearing season (yes, if you live north of the lake, this is a thing), the "Friends of the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage have joined forces with Haute Dames Couture Milliners to host a Holiday Hat Fling open house at said cottage, which stands on the grounds of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum. The c. 1886 cottage occupies a lovely, historic site on the banks of the Tchefuncte River, and since a portion of proceeds will benefit its restoration, this'll be a fine opportunity to don your best headgear and come enjoy the wine and cheese for a good cause. The Haute Dames Couture Milliners will have a series of hats for sale, or bring your own. 2 pm–5 pm. lpbmm.org.
