For anyone who's always dreamed about starting a garden, but realistically sees the effort falling off after a month or two, here's a workshop at Crosby Arboretum suited to your needs. Pearl River County Extension Agent Dr. Eddie Smith and Arboretum Director Pat Drackett will school a group on how to design low-care landscapes—budget-friendly, low-effort, and low-waste too. Learn how to build healthy soils, recycle yard waste and rainwater, and increase your yard's biodiversity complete with a tutorial on drought-tolerant, attractive native plant species that flourish without much help. 10 am–noon.
