Last year's Open Call Exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Center on White Linen Night
This year's exhibition, Identity Measures, brings together a diverse group of 23 artists using art as a means to explore identity as an insistently mobile and often resistant assemblage of traits and vulnerabilities. Through this range of material practices and artistic approaches, difference and what to do with it is interrogated and played with, opening up a dialogue through the language of visual art.
Artists include: Nicole Awai, Luis Cruz Azaceta, Chris Berntsen, Dawn Black, Paris Cian & Kelli Scates, Sarrah Danziger, Marianne Desmarais, Paige DeVries, Double Diamond-Marta Rodriguez Maleck and Ashley Teamer, Abdi Farah, Sarah Hill, Kristina Knipe, Jessica Lagunas, Cora Lautze, Daniela Leal, Robyn LeRoy-Evans, Cristina Molina, Gamil Nassar, REWA, Kaleena Stasiak, and Andy Thompson.
The exhibition will be on display from August 3 to October 5, with an opening reception in conjunction with White Linen Night from 5:30 pm–9:30 pm.
