Recent paintings by artist Tajreen Akter from the exhibit Into the Previous Conversation are now on view at the CI Group’s downtown office as part of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Entrepreneurial Arts Resource Program. Akter, originally from Bangladesh, has lived and worked in Louisiana since 2013. Her work has an intimate feel, focusing on still-life compositions of personal household items. An artist reception will be held February 17 from 5 pm–7 pm at the CI Group’s downtown location, 447 North 3rd Street, Suite D. Atker’s paintings will remain on view through April. (225) 344-8558.
