January at the House of Blues
House of Blues 225 Decatur Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
Inspired by the historic Juke Joints, upon which the foundations of American music were built, New Orleans' House of Blues continues to bring high quality live music and performance to its guests. The venue includes an art collection almost entirely comprised of folk, outsider, and self-taught artists in the "visual blues" style—acting as the largest curator of Outsider Art in the world. No matter where a musical artist hails from, when they perform at the House of Blues, they stand upon a metal box, welded to the stage, filled with Delta Mississippi mud "to ensure that every artist has the roots and the spirit of the South beneath their feet."
