John Warner Smith, former Louisiana Poet Laureate and current executive director of Shadows-on-the-Teche in New Iberia, will give a talk at the Opelousas Museum, sharing his work at the National Historic Trust property and some of his poetry, as well. 6 pm–8 pm. Free. museum@cityofopelousas.com.
