Acadiana Center for the Arts June programs
Film screenings, live performances, and visual art exhibitions.
Acadiana Center for the Arts 101 West Vermilion Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70501
Lafayette's Acadiana Center for the Arts strives to foster culture in Acadiana - while that may sound a little like preaching the choir in one of the South's proudest and most culturally distinct regions, it also gives locals the chance to take in film screenings, live performances, and visual art exhibitions. This month's programming includes:
June 6: The Bacon Brothers: Kevin Bacon is in a band with his brother. Come to reduce your Kevin Bacon number; stay to hear the singer-songwriter act the talented siblings have honed over decades of making music together.
June 10: My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea: Fulfill the universal teenage daydream with this satirical animated disaster flick.
June 12: A Quiet Passion: Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon continues cementing her reputation as the most talented of the 00's bad girl with a turn as reclusive poet Emily Dickinson.
Plus, an ongoing exhibit of works from the collection of Fr. Paul Bienvenu. acadianacenterforthearts.org
