Lera Auerbach Piano Concert

The New Orleans Friends of Music welcomes German composer, concert pianist, poet and visual artist Lera Auerbach to Tulane's Dixon Hall for a solo concert on piano. The Julliard School and Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media graduate is recognized internationally for her intelligent and emotional style, and her orchestra compositions have been performed all over the world by leading conductors. Her ballets and operas have been produced in major theaters on every continent, and she has received numerous awards including the prestigious Hindemith Prize, the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship, the German National Radio prize, and the ECHO Klassik award. From 2007–2012, she was a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
