Les Mains Guidées—Wine Making
Who wouldn't want to learn how to make a personal stash of wine from fruits easily plucked in backyards across Louisiana?
Vermilionville 300 Fisher Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508
This monthly series invites visitors to learn crafts from the interpretive center's master artisans, who highlight traditions handed down to us by the historic Acadians, Creoles, and Native Americans of South Louisiana who came before. In November, Vermilionville’s resident naturalist Greg Guidroz will be teaching the art of turning local Louisiana fruits, such as muscadines, persimmons, and figs, into your very own home-brewed wine. Limited to twelve students. Advance registration and $90 payment required. (337) 233-4077 or Vville@BayouVermilionDistrict.org. 10 am–12 pm. vermilionville.org.
