On the first floor of the Pontchartrain hotel sits a tavern-style bar with a storied history, boasting that Capote and Sinatra once imbibed at the St. Charles watering hole. Live music is returning to the intimate, accoustically-rich Bayou Bar every Wednesday through Saturday evening. Performances will feature an array of local artists including the Peter Harris Trio and Jordan Anderson, among others. Performances run three full hours from 7 pm–10 pm. Free, but tables are available on a first-come, first served basis. Here's who to expect coming up:
