The Los Isleños Museum and Village celebrates the legacy of the 2,800 families that were brought by the Spanish government from the Canary Islands to live in Louisiana. That fascinating slice of Louisiana history is front and center during this month's Los Isleños Fiesta on the grounds of the museum. The two-day event offers craft demonstrations and people from the Canary Islands showcasing their food, dress, and music.
