From the Contemporary Artists Guild in Alexandria, the Louisiana Creative Chair-ity Project asks creative locals to adopt one of fifty chairs recovered from the recent flood, transform it into an aesthetic piece (it can still be functional!), and then donate the chair for auction. Chairs will be on display and up for bidding from October 15 at 10 am until Friday, October 21, at 8 pm, during the city's ArtWalk. Proceeds will go toward flood relief efforts.
