Building on the mission of the Foundation for Historical Louisiana, the "Protect and Preserve History" portion of Louisiana Lagniappe Youth Summer Camp will expose campers to the colorful stories of the Louisiana Old Governor's Mansion. Sessions offered this year include:
"Bring the Past to Life!" June 18-22, campers will have the opportunity to learn about Louisiana's pivotal role in U.S. History as they participate in games, music, and crafts that explore a different decade each day.
"Protect and Preserve History!" July 16-20, campers can learn about Louisiana's rich history, architecture, and culture, and learn about the field of historic preservation and rehabilitation through stories, tours of downtown Baton Rouge, and hands-on learning.
