Warm weather is almost here (not that it left for long), meaning it’s time to get out of the house and enjoy some of the magnificent outdoor activities available in the Sportsman’s Paradise. This March, the Alexandria-Pineville area will present the Central Louisiana Outdoor Adventure Festival, showcasing the many outdoor activities visitors and residents of the area have to explore over the course of a month. This varied slate of activities has only one central idea in common: to get everyone outside!
The Rapides Parish Rodeo (March 10) gets the crowd going at Rapides Parish Coliseum. The Red River Run (March 11) offers ten kilometers of healthy, heart-pumping exercise, while bike tours through the city pair fitness with well-paced site seeing. For more sedate exploration, Lion's Cotile Trade Days (March 25—26) offers two days of shopping at the Cotile Lake Recreation Park. And The T.R.E.E. House Museum will host both an adults-only fundraiser (March 10) and an all-ages outdoor play day (March 18).
