The Arts Council of Pointe Coupee opens its tenth Performing Arts Series with a take on the country legend Hank Williams, Sr. Hugh Harris assumes the role of the musician, regaling the audience from the back seat of a baby blue Cadillac on the way to a show in Canton, Ohio (a show Williams never made it to). Off-stage voices fill in pieces of Williams' life as well as a replica of the famous Drifting Cowboy backup band. 7 pm at the Poydras Center. $28. (225) 718-1574.
