The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating Civil Rights icons Edgar and Leah Chase, along with the 75th anniversary of the Dooky Chase Orchestra’s final concert and the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" with a performance of the classic score at the Orpheum Theatre. Besides the LPO, this special performance will feature Leah Chase's granddaughter Chase Kamata, as well as the Marcus Roberts Trio with Marcus Roberts, Jason Marsalis, and Rodney Jordan. 7:30 pm. $28–$110. lpomusic.com.
