Lunchtime Lagniappe: Baton Rouge Traditions

Baton Rouge Traditions is a compilation of research conducted in the greater Baton Rouge area primarily over the past decade. The project was coordinated by Maida Owens, Louisiana Folklife Director for the Office of Cultural Development, with 22 folklorists and other writers contributing. Together these 39 essays offer a glimpse of this metropolitan area that is the state's capital. Owens will speak on these traditions as viewed through a folklorist’s lens.

Lunchtime Lagniappe is an ongoing series of brown bag talks that last approximately 30 minutes plus Q&A. Attendees are welcome to come and go as the their lunch hour permits. This event is free and open to the public and begins at noon. louisianastatemuseum.org.
