Anniversaries every year (every day, even) but a 75th for D-Day happens just once. You'll excuse an overflow of commemoration then, particularly this June 12 lecture led by Joe Rockfort, a World War II veteran who participated in the invasion on June 6, 1944. Rockfort's Lunchtime Lagniappe lecture at the Capitol Park Museum is presented in part by the USS Kidd.

Lunchtime Lagniappe is an ongoing series of brown bag talks that last approximately thirty minutes plus Q&A. Attendees are welcome to come and go as their lunch hour permits. Free. (225) 342-5428. louisianastatemuseum.org.
