The Manship Theatre presents Mama's Gun: The Choreography of Mothering While Black. Mama's Gun addresses the emotional and physical work of mothering from infancy to maturity through a hybrid of concert dance, hip-hop theater, and storytelling. Presented by the Power Coalition for Equity and Justice and Nyama Contemporary Dance Company, the performance adds the perspective of moms of unjustly killed Black and Brown youth, shedding light on the suffering of Black women who have lost children to racial and other forms of violence and discrimination. $30. 7:30 pm. manshiptheatre.org.
