The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners Association has partnered with the East Baton Rouge Parish Libraries to offer free educational talks and workshops on the following gardening topics.
February 1: Growing Tomatoes and We are Being Invaded—At the Main Library, Tony Bourgeios shares he secrets of growing perfect tomatoes; followed by Floyd Sones, who will inform about invasive species threatening your garden and how to defend your plants. 6:30 pm. Free.
February 15: Bees and the Plants They Love to Need and It’s Time to Get Rosy—At the Bluebonnet Library, beekeeper Debi O’Neill unveils the fascinating life cycle of bees and their seasonal needs; and Carol Paine shares the art of cultivating roses, demystifying their care, and transforming your yard into a blooming masterpiece. 6:30 pm.
