Mayor Al Memorial 5K, Mile Croc Walk, & Family Fun Day

In recognition of Loreauville's beloved Mayor Al, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2015, the city puts on an annual run to raise money for a cause that was dear to his heart. The New Acadia Project is a publicly-supported effort to discover and study the home sites and unmarked graves of the Acadians who settled in South Louisiana and established this place as home. The Croc Walk starts at 8:30 am; 5K starts at 9 am. Loreauville Family Fun Day follows until 2 pm, featuring music, food, and fun jumps. $25; $30 late registration; children under 5 are free.
