Quantum physics meets abstract art in James Flynn's third exhibition with Callan Contemporary, Meta-Morphic, on display from April 25–May 26. Flynn's series of paintings draw on questions of consciousness and reality, the unseen forces underlying the fundamental essence of the cosmos and our own existence. Working as optical illusions, his paintings—repetitious patterns of particles, waves, forces, and fields—they move, flux, and flow expending metamorphic energies of their own and drawing the viewer into them. An opening reception will be held on May 4 from 6 pm–9 pm. callancontemporary.com
