to
Newcomb Art Museum - Tulane University Newcomb Circle, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118
In this exhibition from the Newcomb Art Museum's collections, iconic Newcomb pottery stands beside kinetic sculpture, photography, and prints to explore concepts of change, transition, and movement. Some featured works include "Flood Lines" by the Vestiges Project—which reference human-built environments at risk and forever-changed by natural disasters; John T. Scott's "Black Butterfly," a sculpture reflecting rhythm and motion as a metaphor for transformation and rebirth; and selections from past Newcomb faculty including Lin Emery and Ida Kohlmeyer, and alumni including Melissa Turner Drumm, Betsy Pacakrd, Cynthia Scott, and more. Works by Carrie Mae Weems, Carlos Rolon, and Jesus Rafael Soto are also featured. newcombartmuseum.tulane.edu.
