Mid City Gras Ball

Come frolic with parade Krewes and Mid-City Nutz at the Capital City Event Center for this year's Mid City Gras Ball, themed "2020 Leagues Under the Sea." 

Though the organizers wanted to charge $7642 for a ticket, they saw the astronomical cost of whale suit insurance and decided instead to make this a ball for the common undersea squirrel. Wear your wildest underwater gear, your Thursday best, or whatever party duds work for you! No tuxedo, no tails (unless you come as an eel, in which case, you kind-of, sort-of, might be all tail).

Because you are your best decorations, bring your best decorations, as well as your own food and beverages. Frivolity and magical music mixes from the WHYR radio personalities will be provided (no need to bring your turntables, 8-tracks, cassettes, or CD players). 7 pm—11 pm. $35 General Admission (ages 21 and older) or $350 for a table for ten at bontempstix.com. midcitygras.org.
