Mid City West Fest

Mid City West Fest
Circa 1857 has teamed up with The Electric Depo to create a brand-new festival in the west side of Mid City, the three blocks of Government Street beginning at 19th Street/Park Boulevard and stretches to the railroad tracks, whose historical significance is too often forgotten. Mid City West Fest is a four-day festival, the first of its kind aiming to promote the oldest side of Government Street by highlighting the local artists, musicians, and chefs who live nearby.
The event will begin on April 1 at Alford Safe & Lock with a Food Truck(ish) Roundup featuring more than ten local food trucks and restaurants, and an open bar. $5; children are free.
The second event is Circa 1857’s fourth annual Champarty, a celebration boasting more than 30 artists, free and unlimited champagne, and live music followed by an afterparty at The Radio Bar, all starting at 6 pm.
Next up is the Sip & Shop featuring Cajun Electric, Mimosa Handcrafted, Wanderlust by Abby and ThreeSixtyEight Media. Sip on some rosé, enjoy some hors d’oeuvres, and stroll through the local shops enjoying the wide range of lighting, hand-crafted jewelry boutique clothing, and marketing materials.
To cap the festival, The Electric Depot, in conjunction with Ebb and Flow Festival, will host an all-day music festival featuring headlined by The Michael Foster Project. $20 presale at bontempstix.com. Details at midcitywestfest.com.
