The Music of Michael Clark

Michael Clark was a founding member of Baton Rouge's River City Good Tyme Band that enjoyed enormous regional success in the 1980s and 1990s, performing progressive country, traditional country, and bluegrass music. Michael wrote many original songs which charted locally and received air play on regional radio stations. The band was one of the most popular country bands to ever come out of Louisiana, and received national recognition on numerous occasions. Two albums were released, both featuring Michael's original music. He passed away from cancer in December 2015. Members of the River City Good Tyme Band will perform his original songs, plus classic covers he performed over the years, at the Hartley/Vey Theatre as a tribute to Clark and his talents. 7:30 pm, $20. manshiptheatre.org.
