"Visits, Vittles, and Vines" is the theme of the thirty-first annual Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration. The three-day symposium offers film screenings, guest speakers, panel discussions for writers looking to get their manuscripts published, and the presentation of the Richard Wright Award for Literary Excellence, which goes this year to food writer Martha Foose. Thursday's events include the unveiling of Richard Wright Mississippi Writer’s Trail Marker, a screening of the short film Thinking of Home, Faulkner House and Rowan Oak and the MPB TV Series Palate to Palette with Robert St. John and Wyatt Waters, plus a special event with Film Natchez at 7:30 pm. Friday features a tour of Concord Quarters, plus a Heritage & Soul Dinner at Natchez Museum of African American History & Culture at 6 pm. Saturday closes out the festival with lunch at the Carriage House, a cocktail party at Regina's, and a Dinner with Hamilton and Other Broadway Hits, featuring Great American Masters—plus so much more.
