New Orleans Swing Dance Festival

If you're drawn to moving your feet and shaking some tail-feather, break out your dancing shoes for the ninth anniversary of the New Orleans Swing Festival. Musicians, dance teachers, and performers from all over the country will convene in the beautiful 1920s Art Deco styled Ace Hotel, and invite you to join them for this boogie-filled weekend that is guaranteed to keep your toes tappin' and hips swingin'. Each evening the festival will host two to three social dances featuring different varieties of live music ranging from Jazz/Swing to R&B/Soul, and participants are encouraged to dance however they please to their preferred genre. There will be no contests held this year in favor of working towards creating a stronger and more diverse global dance community. nolaswingdancefestival.com
