Bring in the new year by exploring something old on this guided hike of Poverty Point World Heritage Site. Rangers will point out the mounds, earthworks, and wildlife throughout the park. Be sure to dress in layered, warm clothes, as this could be a chilly morning hike. Begins at 10 am, lasts 2–3 hours. This hike is part of a wider "First Day Hikes" initiative, stated with the intent of unifying people in starting the year off right. $4 park admission, children and seniors free. povertypoint.us.
