As a port city, New Orleans has a long, storied history with the world's favorite roasted, caffeinated beans. As a city also known for its vibrant festival culture, it makes perfect sense that the New Orleans Convention Center would be home to the brand-new NOLA Coffee Festival. The goal of the two-day event is to celebrate all things related to coffee—from New Orleans's own coffee history, to the talented community of roasters, purveyors, baristas, and other coffee professionals who help fill our mugs with caffeinated joy each day.
Friday, September 15 is Trade and Industry Day, where leaders in the coffee industry will give educational talks and lead skills classes while purveyors showcase the latest developments in coffee, brewing techniques, equipment, and more.
Saturday, September 16 is Consumer Day, where coffee lovers from across the South and beyond are invited to sample brews from more than a dozen of the South's most esteemed roasters, and sharpen their own home barista skills with special home brewing classes.
