P.4 Teen Convening

New Orleans' citywide art exhibition Prospect.4: The Lotus in Spite of the Swamp demands conversation—this one in particular, geared toward teens and taking place at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, will be on the transnational movement of human bodies and the constellation of cultural artifacts that move with them. Through gallery talks, youth performances, and hands-on workshops, participants will consider New Orleans and its place in global history, from colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade, to current debates about culture and representation in the city. 10:30 am–5 pm.
