Red Dragon Songwriters Series: Paul Thorn
Manship Theatre 100 Lafayette Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802
The Red Dragon Listening Room organizers have worked another quiet miracle, having secured renowned Americana singer-songwriter Paul Thorn to come and play the Manship Theatre. A former pro-boxer, Thorn, who was raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, was discovered by Miles Copeland (brother of Police drummer Stewart Copeland) and has gone on to record ten albums. If for nothing else, you know him for his 2012 album What the Hell is Going On, which was the #12 most played album of that year on the AMA chart. His latest, Don't Let the Devil Ride, is also his first gospel album. Don't miss his 7:30 pm performance. $49.95–$69.95. manshiptheatre.org.
