Paul Thorn at the Red Dragon
The Red Dragon Listening Room organizers have worked another quiet miracle, having secured renowned Americana singer-songwriter Paul Thorn to come and play the intimate venue on Florida Street. A former pro-boxer, Thorn, who was raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, was discovered by Miles Copeland (brother of Police drummer Stewart Copeland) and has gone on to record eight albums. If for nothing else, you know him for his 2012 album What the Hell is Going On, which was the #12 most played album of that year on the AMA chart. So don't miss his 7 pm performance. Seating will be limited to 90 people. Tickets are $60 regular, $70 VIP, and must be paid in advance. Red Dragon is at 2401 Florida Street. cmaxwell@premier.net. reddragonlr.com.
