Peace Fest, organized by Redstick Peacemakers for six years now, focuses on eco-friendly, sustainable, and holistic practices through movement, music, art, and plant based food. All the trappings of a festival but with unity in mind, including an art market sponsored by local jeweler Emily Koro; a children's area featuring multicultural arts and crafts, yoga, and an obstacle course; energy therapy and massage at the Susan Fabre Healing Sanctuary; and new this year: a Mindful Movement stage, featuring partner yoga, hooping, Chi Gong, meditation, and other activities. At the Peace Fest Stage, attendees enjoy kirtan, belly dancing, capoeira, acro-yoga, and flow arts; along with performances by Bhakti Caravan, Pacifico, and a collaborative performance art and live music performance by Neon Mountain+AirSeekers. 3 pm‒10 pm at Riverfront Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge. worldpeacedaybr.com.
