Ah, there's the beef. Burgers from around the Perkins Road Overpass area are converging on The Overpass Merchant to compete in the Perkins Road Burgerfest, presented by local culture enthusiasts Geaux Rouge. For attendees, that means sampling carnivorous delights from Kalurah Street Grill, Galatoire's Bistro, City Pork Deli & Charcuterie, Phil's Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant, Table Kitchen & Bar Baton Rouge, Ivar's Sports Bar, Iverstine Farms Butcher, Burgersmith, Bet-R Grocery, and kind hosts The Overpass Merchant. Tickets at the door look to be limited, but see if you can snag one of the remaining online tickets here. proceeds benefiting Mary Bird Perkins - Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center and A.C. Lewis YMCA. 2 pm–6 pm. $20.
