Delve into the poignant story of Vivian Maier (1926 - 2009), whose candid images of people on the streets of Chicago and New York were accidentally discovered near the time of her death. An instant celebrity, she was dubbed “The Mysterious Nanny Photographer” because so little was known about her. This exhibition reveals new details about Maier’s life, providing a closer look at the artist behind the camera. The exhibition will be on disiplay until May 26, 2019 in LASM's Main Galleries.

Art After Hours; "Vivian Maier Developed": Vivian Maier biographer Ann Marks will visit the Museum on April 25 to share the true story of Maier's personal history, the discovery of her photographs, and her rise to fame. Admission includes wine and hors d'oeuvres. $10; members free.
