The Playwright's Process Class

Theatre Baton Rouge is hosting a four-week course on the art of playwriting, led by New Venture Theatre's long-time Artistic Director Greg Williams Jr. Participants will explore creating characters, the relationship between text and action, and what it's like to write scripts for stage performance, from monologues to dialogue. At the end of the course there will be a staged reading to share the final works, read by professional actors, with a playwright talkback to follow. The class costs $200, is for those age sixteen and up, and meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm until 7:30 pm for four weeks until March 10. theatrebr.org/education-at-tbr to register or find more information.
