Join author Adam Smyer Anthony Grooms, an Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence judge and author, for a writers' conversation presented by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation in conjunction with the Ernest J. Gaines Award.
Smyer's debut novel, Knucklehead, was shortlisted by the Gaines Award and is described by critics as "a fierce, intelligent, and often hilarious novel about a young African American attorney who struggles to keep his cool in the personally and politically turbulent '90s."
