River City Jazz Masters: Joey Defrancesco + The People

For over ten years now, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge's River City Jazz Masters series has gifted Baton Rouge with appearances by some of the finest jazz artists around. This evening's no different, as Philadelphia's multi-faceted jazz, R&B, and soul performer Joey DeFrancesco takes the stage. Guitarist John Scofield teams up with pianist Gerald Clayton, bassist Vicente Archer, and drummer Bill Stewart in Combo 66, a new band that builds upon Scofield’s long legacy of masterful improvisation and stylistic diversity. 7:30 pm. $25–$45. manshiptheatre.org.
